Pre-School

Welcome to King’s Cliffe Endowed Pre-School. We provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, explore and grow.

Pre-School Lead: Mrs D Chapman

In Pre-School, children learn through play, exploration and a wide range of first-hand experiences. We encourage children to become confident, curious and independent learners, developing the skills they need as they begin their journey through school.

Our indoor and outdoor environments provide plenty of opportunities for children to investigate, create, communicate and develop their imaginations. We value each child as an individual and work closely with families to help every child feel happy, secure and ready to learn.

Learning in Pre-School

Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and is carefully planned around the seven areas of learning. Through a balance of adult-led activities and child-initiated play, children develop their communication and language, physical and personal skills alongside the foundations of literacy and mathematics.

We also make the most of our outdoor environment, giving children opportunities to explore and learn outside throughout the year.

Working with Parents and Carers

A strong partnership between home and Pre-School is an important part of your child's development. We use Tapestry to share learning, photographs and observations with families and welcome your contributions from home too.

Please speak to Mrs Chapman or another member of the Pre-School team if you have any questions or there is anything you would like us to know.

We look forward to an exciting year of learning, discovery and fun together!
