Our Parents and Friends Association (PFA) plays an important part in school life, bringing our community together while raising funds to provide extra opportunities and experiences for all our children.

Through events and fundraising, the PFA helps to fund additional resources, equipment, trips and workshops, as well as those little extras that make school life even more special.

What we do

The PFA works closely with school staff and governors to support projects and experiences that benefit children across the school.

In recent years, PFA fundraising has helped to provide:

• contributions towards school trips and transport
• our annual Christmas pantomime
• lunchtime equipment
• furniture and games for quiet areas
• outdoor play equipment
• end-of-year ice lollies

Every event you support and every contribution you make helps us to do more for our children.

Fundraising and events

Throughout the year, we organise a range of events and activities, including cake sales, pre-loved uniform sales and our Christmas Fair.

We are always looking for new ideas too, so if you have a fundraising suggestion, we would love to hear it!

Get involved

Everyone is welcome, and you can give as much or as little time as you are able. You don't need to join the committee or attend every meeting to make a difference.

There are lots of ways to get involved:

• Come to a meeting – our informal meetings are usually held once a term, with additional meetings when we are planning an event. Details are shared through the school newsletter and ParentMail.
• Volunteer at an event – help us set up, run a stall, serve refreshments or tidy away afterwards.
• Bake for a cake sale – cakes and biscuits are always gratefully received!
• Donate pre-loved uniform – helping another family while supporting the PFA.
• Share your ideas – suggestions for new events and fundraising activities are always welcome.
• Follow us on Facebook – keep up to date with forthcoming events and ways to get involved.

We also have a WhatsApp group to share ideas and keep in touch between meetings.

However you choose to help, you will be very welcome. Getting involved is a great way to meet other parents and carers, make new friends and play a part in the wider life of the school.
