Vision and Values
Our School Motto
King's Cliffe Endowed – Growing a love for learning

Our Vision
At King's Cliffe Endowed Primary School, our vision is for every child to grow a love for learning and experience success.
We want learning to excite, inspire and challenge our children. We provide opportunities that encourage them to be curious, imaginative and confident: to ask questions, express their ideas, learn from their experiences and recognise what they can achieve.
We want our children to leave us as confident individuals and accomplished learners who are ready for the next stage of their education. Through the knowledge, skills, experiences and relationships they develop with us, we aim to give them strong foundations for lifelong learning and for playing a positive part in the world around them.
Our Values
Our values are at the heart of school life and help shape the way we learn, work and treat one another.
We encourage children to think about the values that guide their choices and behaviour, while adults throughout the school model these values in their own relationships and actions. Through assemblies, learning and everyday experiences, children are given opportunities to explore values, talk about what they mean and reflect on how their choices can affect themselves and others.
Children also help to choose a Value of the Week, giving us a shared focus for reflection and discussion across the school. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home, helping children to see that our values extend beyond the school gates.
Our values include:
Co-operation • Courage • Friendship • Honesty • Kindness • Peace • Respect • Responsibility • Thoughtfulness • Trust • Understanding • Unity
Together, they help us to create a positive, inclusive school community in which everyone is valued and encouraged to flourish.
Our School Rights
Our School Rights provide three simple principles that underpin the way we live, learn and play together.
Everyone in our school has the right to:
- be safe and feel safe
- learn
- be treated with respect
With these rights come responsibilities. We help children to understand that their choices and actions can affect the rights of others and that everyone has a part to play in making our school a safe, respectful and positive place to learn.
Our Values and Our Curriculum
Our curriculum grows from these strong foundations. It takes children on a journey of knowledge, skills and experiences that encourages them to grow a love for learning and develop skills for life.
Within our curriculum, Respect, Resilience and Reflection provide three important drivers for learning. We want children to respect themselves, others and the world around them; develop the resilience to persevere and respond positively to challenge; and become reflective learners who think about what they know, how they learn and how they can continue to improve.
Through our curriculum and the wider life of the school, we want every child to develop a strong sense of self-worth, recognise the value of others and experience the joy that comes from learning, contributing and succeeding.
