Mental Health and Well-being

At King's Cliffe Endowed Primary School, we believe that children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing are just as important as their physical health. Children who feel safe, valued and supported are better able to learn, build positive relationships and enjoy their time at school.

We aim to create an environment where children feel able to talk about their feelings, understand their emotions and know that it is okay to ask for help.

Supporting Wellbeing in School

Mental health and wellbeing are supported through our curriculum and through everyday school life. We help children to develop resilience, build positive relationships and learn strategies for looking after their own wellbeing.

Our staff receive training to help them understand children’s mental health and recognise when a child may need additional support.

Sometimes children need a little extra help. If you have concerns about your child’s emotional wellbeing or mental health, please speak to their class teacher or contact the school office. We can work with you to understand your child’s needs and, where appropriate, help you access further support.
