Every child at King's Cliffe Endowed Primary School belongs to one of our four School Houses. Our Houses bring children from across the school together and help to develop a sense of belonging, teamwork and friendly competition.

Children can earn House Points through their positive behaviour, effort and contributions to school life. At the end of each term, the House with the highest number of points is awarded the House Cup.

Our Houses also compete together during events such as Sports Day, with points contributing towards the overall House competition for the year.

Each House is named after an inspirational figure from the world of science and discovery and has its own colour.

Marie Curie – Yellow

Marie Curie was a pioneering physicist and chemist whose research transformed our understanding of radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and remains the only person to have won Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields.

Charles Darwin – Green

Charles Darwin was an English naturalist whose work transformed our understanding of how living things change over time. His theory of evolution by natural selection became one of the most important ideas in modern science.

Mary Anning – Blue

Mary Anning was an English fossil collector and palaeontologist whose remarkable discoveries along the Jurassic Coast helped scientists to understand prehistoric life and the history of our planet.

Isaac Newton – Red

Isaac Newton was an English mathematician and physicist whose discoveries about forces, motion, gravity and light had an enormous influence on our understanding of the world.

House Captains

Each House is represented by pupil House Captains, who act as role models and help to encourage and support their fellow House members.

Our House Captains for 2026/27 will be announced at the beginning of the new school year.
