We are proud of our school uniform and believe that it gives children a sense of belonging and pride in being part of the King's Cliffe Endowed Primary School community.

Details of our uniform requirements for each phase of the school can be found below.

EYFS and Key Stage 1

Pre-School, Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2

• Gold polo shirt with red school logo
• Red crew-neck sweatshirt or cardigan with gold school logo
• Charcoal grey school trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
• White or grey socks
• Plain grey or red tights
• Plain black school shoes

Hair accessories should be practical and appropriate for school. Small accessories in red, grey, mustard, black or white are encouraged.

Pre-School children may wear plain black jogging bottoms, leggings or shorts.

During the warmer months, children may wear a red gingham summer dress. Children may also wear plain, enclosed-toe T-bar leather sandals in an appropriate school colour.

Children in Pre-School, Foundation and Year 1 also need a named pair of wellington boots for outdoor learning. These can be kept at school.

Key Stage 2

Years 3 to 6

• Plain white school shirt
• Red and gold school tie
• Red knitted V-neck jumper or cardigan with gold school logo
• Charcoal grey school trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
• White or grey socks
• Plain grey or red tights
• Plain black school shoes

Hair accessories should be practical and appropriate for school. Small accessories in red, grey, mustard, black or white are encouraged.

During the warmer months, children may wear a red gingham summer dress. Short-sleeved white school shirts may also be worn with the school tie.

Children may also wear plain, enclosed-toe T-bar leather sandals in an appropriate school colour during warmer weather.

School ties are available to purchase through ParentPay and can be collected from the school office.

PE Kit

All year groups except Pre-School

Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on their designated PE days. Your child’s class teacher will let you know which days these are.

• Red PE T-shirt with the school logo
• Plain black PE shorts, skort, leggings or jogging bottoms, as appropriate for the activity and weather
• Black, grey or white trainers suitable for outdoor PE

Black plimsolls may be worn for indoor PE but are optional.

Generic PE items should be plain and should not display prominent commercial, designer or sportswear branding or logos. Small, discreet manufacturer’s logos are acceptable.

PE clothing and footwear should be practical, comfortable and suitable for physical activity.

Outdoor PE Kit

All year groups except Pre-School

A range of additional school-branded clothing is available for families who wish to purchase it. This may include a red hooded sweatshirt, school fleece, sweatshirt and showerproof coat. These items are entirely optional and children are not required to own or wear them to take part in PE, outdoor learning, clubs or any other school activity.

Children may instead wear a suitable plain black or red sweatshirt, fleece or weather-appropriate outer layer, with no prominent commercial, designer or sportswear branding or logos.

Buying School Uniform

Our school uniform is available from two suppliers.

School-logoed uniform is available from our approved uniform suppliers, who may also stock plain uniform items. Families are not required to purchase generic uniform items from these suppliers and may buy suitable items from supermarkets, high-street shops or other retailers.

Pre-Loved Uniform

Our PFA organises pre-loved uniform sales throughout the year. Please contact the PFA for details of the next sale.

Applications for financial assistance towards the cost of school uniform can also be made through the school office. Requests will be considered sensitively according to individual family circumstances.
